Street Department

The City of Alpena provides water service to residents throughout Alpena and the surrounding area. Our water is supplied by the City of Harrison and sourced from Beaver Lake, delivering clean, reliable water to our community. Sewer Department
The City of Alpena operates a modern sewer system and pump station that serves residents throughout the community. If your property is not currently connected to the sewer system and you would like to inquire about service, please contact Alpena City Hall at our main office number.

Police Department
The Alpena Police Department is committed to protecting the safety and well-being of our community through professional, responsive, and community-focused law enforcement.

Court Department
The Boone County District Court – Alpena serves the Alpena community by handling traffic citations, misdemeanor criminal cases, and local ordinance violations. Court for citations issued by the Alpena Police Department is held at 108 S. Center St.on the third Monday of each month at 1:30 PM, with doors opening at 1:00 PM.
